Part 2 of looking back at 2010.
After Modified live at Cadwell Park. Mark White joined the blog, he takes some really good photographs and we are really happy to have got him on board.
The next show I went to was again JDM All Stars this time it was round 3 at the Nissan plant in Sunderland.
This involved a mandatory night out “up north” with the Dodgem Squad guys which as usual was epic. Yet again this was an awesome event, Dodgem Squad had managed to squeeze into the show area with Jap North East (Cheers Jap North East and Stevie for sorting that)
The show had a high level of action as expected but ruined at times by people that just wanted to “look hard.” The drifting was spectacular and the more I see Dwain Mckeever drive the more he impresses me!
It was a brilliant track and great viewing. The sound of Chubbys V8 S15 made me get goose bumps every time he was on track.
But obviously the big news was the Driftworks crash.
This shot was taken just before it happend. All in the name of entertainment.
Our next venture was out to London, this was Round 4 of JDM Allstars. It was pretty obvious by now that me and Jaymo had got the bug for a bit of Allstars. As a last minute decision we decided to book a late room in luton and drove down the night before the event which was a good call, the travel lodge had a pub right next door which we took full advantage of. Jaymo had just got his new S13 about a week before hand and managed to blag a spot on the driftworks stand so it was rude not to attend.
The event demanded a high level of driving from everyone competing, the final chicane had a savage bump inbetween both corners which caused alot of trouble for most drivers who throughout the day were getting faster and faster round the track they started getting air off the bump!
It made for some great viewing!
